Hadlow College Lambing Weekend

Come and celebrate the arrival of spring at Hadlow College’s popular annual Lambing Weekend, taking place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th March. This fun family event gives visitors the chance to visit the lambing ewes and their newborn lambs, meet the llamas, pigs, ponies and goats that live at the college Рand are looked after by the students Рand tour the Animal Management Unit to see reptiles, invertebrates and small animals.

Visitors can see birds of prey and vintage tractor displays, have a go at the Coppard digger challenge, test their head for heights on the climbing wall or take a tractor ride (weather permitting).

Broadview Gardens, Garden Centre and Tearoom will be open, so why not treat your friends and family to lunch or afternoon tea and enjoy a fantastic day out.

Full event list for the day:

  • Newborn lambs, with commentary from agricultural lecturers and outdoor video screen showing live footage from the lambing shed
  • Tractor rides (weather permitting)
  • Countryside Marquee with fun interactive activities
  • Birds of Prey
  • Food stalls, including delicious local delicacies at the Produced in Kent Farmers Market.
  • Animal management unit tours: including reptiles, invertebrates and small animals. Plus, out in the enclosures: llamas, pigs, Shetland ponies, pygmy goats, a rhea and a range of exotic species
  • Climbing wall
  • Coppard digger challenge
