Huge success for Hadlow College students at Crowborough ploughing match!

Wednesday, November 2016

On the 5th October, the Hadlow College engineering team attended Crowborough and District Ploughing match and we are delighted to hear that two of our students won prizes!

William Holt (below) competed with one of the college’s Massey Ferguson 135 tractors and a 2 furrow reversible plough. Entered as a novice, William took first prize in the under 21 class!

Jake Starling (below), entered into the same class, took the second prize. Jake competed with the college’s John Deere 6115r tractor and a four furrow reversible plough. Massive congratulations to you both, especially since it was their first ploughing match!

The college also provided a demonstration of a renovated International TD18 crawler with a 6 furrow conventional plough. This large piece of machinery has been rebuilt by our students and created a lot of interest at the match, which was mostly down to the size and noise!
